tactics and deceptive billing procedures authorities said Wednesday The four companies are: Four Comers Health Clubs a national company that operates 10 Living Well Lady facilities throughout Western Washington Cascade Athletic Clubs which has facilities in Federal Way Auburn Renton and Seattle Hart's Athletic Clubs of Be lie-vile Kent Seattle and King County Bel-Fit Inc of Bellingham doing business as Cascade Athletic Club i Court actions were taken after 850 consumer complaints were filed against the companies in the past five years said Regina Cullen an assistant attorney general Among the 850 were Robin Dlsley Burien and her daughter Their experience was similar to what many customers faced the attorney office said The two answered a 1993 televirion ad featuring Living Well Lady that offered a $10 monthly membership But when they went to the Burien club the offer became $65 down $30 per month for two years Dlsley said Wednesday said the other offer was only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 am and 2 pm she said But both signed up for the more expensive program after four Living Well salespeople confused them she said They still had contract questions that Living Well refused to an- swer Ulsley said After working out at the dub three of four times they stopped paying for their memberships and the health dub sent their unpaid bills a collection attention A trip to the grocery store with him took considerably longer than expected because he liked to dote on all the email children ha saw Mr Kane will be remembered by his family for the balance that he achieved in bis life He had a knack for devoting what seemed to be the right amount of time to God his family end friends his work and all people with whom he came in contact For example as Important as his law practice and the boards on which he served were to him rarely did he miss a dinner with his family One of the main lessons learned from observing Mr Kane was that all people were entitled to respect This philosophy could bq observed in everything from the gentle and loving manner In which ne treated hie wife to the way he related to people he had never before met Each individual from the owner of a sizeable business to the person waiting tables In a restaurant no matter what their race or background received from him the respect to which each Individual Is entitled
